L'OREAL TRUE MATCH COMPACT POWDER REVIEW- I am a true fan of L'Oreal products. I have tried a lot of L'Oreal products, especially its foundations and mascaras but this time I wanted to try its compact powder. As I have combination skin (sometimes more oily, sometimes more dry or both), I was looking for a compact powder that suits my skin. And then finally, I got my hands on L'Oreal True Match Compact Powder. I was super excited to try it.
L'OREAL TRUE MATCH COMPACT POWDER:
- Packaging: Plastic- it has a mirror and sponge applicator
- Consistency: Too powdery, not smooth
- Price: I bought it for 2350 PKR
MY EXPERIENCE WITH LOREAL TRUE MATCH COMPACT POWDER:
- Packaging: If we talk about its packaging so it comes in plastic packaging with a mirror and sponge applicator. Though I didn't like the sponge so I used another powder puff. Anyhow, the packaging is satisfactory overall.
- Shades: The product comes in different shades. Initially, I had difficulty choosing the exact shade for my skin tone. Then I picked the shade "Rose Ivory" which perfectly matched my skin at that time. But when I started using it , initially the color would perfectly match my skin tone but then after 20 minutes it completely oxidizes and my skin looked weird. So yeah, choose shade wisely if you wish to try it because it oxidizes completely.
- Coverage: It is medium to full coverage. I have combination skin, when oily I used to apply this on my face using a sponge. It feels light on the face and easily blendable. It depends on you how much coverage you want but the result is not enough coverage no matter how much you apply.
When I first bought it, I really had high expectations of it. I used it in my daily routine and applied a little amount of it on my face. Initially, it would make my face look fresh and smooth but after 30 minutes it would make it look chalky and dry. It makes pores and lines more visible and began to cake after an hour. In case of touchups, you would have to wash your face in the end because it makes your face looks so heavy, powdery, and weird after 2-3 touchups. Every time I tried it on, it breaks around my nose, forehead, and chin and I have to wash off my face. It doesn't stay on better and doesn't seem to be sticking to my face at all. My experience was not good at all with it. It's quite expensive if the price is compared to the quality. I feel like I just wasted my money purchasing it because there are many inexpensive and better compact powders available in the market and does great work. I love L'Oreal product but I am not satisfied with this compact powder at all.
You can buy it if you have dry skin and want to use a little amount of it in summer or for a matte look. If you use it for coverage then not recommended at all. It gives only a little coverage on the first application. On second application, though it adds to coverage but makes face look all dried up and cakey. If you have the same skin type as mine and need a good compact powder for oily skin then I would not recommend this one. You can get far better and more inexpensive compact powders for coverage and oily skin than this one.
I hope this review was helpful to you ladies. I explained what I faced using it. Still, if you wish to try you can but not recommended from my side :)
