ESSENCE MASCARA REVIEW- Who has not heard of the essence and its amazing mascaras? I am a big fan of mascaras and I love trying new mascaras. I feel like it's the most important thing in my makeup routine without which my makeup seems incomplete. I have tried different mascaras of different brands but when it comes to essence, I really have a strong affection for its products, especially its mascaras. In my opinion, there is no brand that does mascaras as well as essence. The very first product I bought of essence was the Essence Lash Of The Day Super Volume Mascara and I was so excited to try it out.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH ESSENCE LASH OF THE DAY  SUPER VOLUME MASCARA:  


  I have pretty big eyes and long lashes but not naturally curled so I mostly prefer mascaras that can make my lashes look more thicker. When I first bought this mascara I was attracted by its cute packaging. I added it to my daily makeup routine for college. The product promises perfectly curled lashes with super volume but applying the first coat of it adds a little volume to my lashes and look natural. It dries up quickly. On second coating it adds further volumes to my lashes but I don't know why my lashes look clumpy. When dries up looks so fake and the lashes feel so heavy. It doesn't add too much volume at all. It only adds a little bit of volume to my lashes and gives a natural effect on the first coating.

  Formula-wise, for a couple of weeks after purchasing it, seems a little wet and clumpy. But after some weeks it starts drying up quickly and then using it makes lashes look weird even with one coat. It lasts for a month and then dries up.

  It has a natural bristle brush with decently sized gaps between the rows. I prefer thin mascara brushes

then thick ones. And it worked for my lashes pretty well. Using this brush helps in getting a good amount of product on my lashes and adds some separation to my lashes. 

  I just apply one coat of it for a simple natural makeup look and it looks so pretty. For heavy makeup looks I don't prefer using it as it makes my lashes look clumpy.

  Washing it off from my lashes is itself a struggle. As I mentioned earlier it dries up so quickly and sticks so well to lashes. After washing it off or removing it using a makeup remover makes the area around the eyes looks black. I use a good quantity of makeup remover, removing it.
 
  It's not a complete waterproof mascara and can get a little bit smudgy sometimes whether I rub my eyes or not. But it works perfectly for 4 hours without getting smudgy.

  Overall, I love the effect it gives on my lashes and its cute packaging. I also like the brush, which I feel works for me the best. But also it dries up quickly after a couple of weeks of use and becomes more and more clumpy.

  • not waterproof
  • gets smudgey
  • product dries up quickly
  • More coatings make lashes feel heavy
  • Difficult to wash off


  I would recommend this mascara if you are looking for a mascara that gives a natural effect and adds a little volume to lashes. But if you are looking for a perfect volumizing mascara then you must look for another essence mascara because there are other essence mascaras that do it better.
